FreeMove® North American Certification March 2021
Veo FreeMove® is available to ship with ISO 13849 certification for PLd, Category 3. FreeMove® monitors workcells in 3D and implements dynamic Speed and Separation Monitoring (SSM) as defined by ISO 10218-2:2011 and ISO/TS 15066:2016, enabling safe interaction between humans and robots.
The FreeMove® system includes 3D time-of-flight sensors (FreeMove Sensors®), custom computing platform (FreeMove Engine®) and a software suite for installation and configuration (FreeMove Studio®).
How FreeMove® Works
Dynamic Speed & Separation Monitoring
3D Monitoring
FreeMove Sensors® are positioned on the periphery of the workcell to capture rich image data of the entire space.
Tracks & Calculates
The FreeMove Engine® uses 3D data to identify the workcell including the robot, workpiece, human and occlusions in order to track and calculate all possible future states.
Stop & Restart
If a human is closer to the robot than the Protective Separation Distance (PSD), FreeMove® signals the robot to stop. When the PSD violation is cleared, FreeMove® allows the robot to safely restart.
